Lines for Late January, 2026
Astrological vibe check
Etymology:
event
“the consequence of anything”, “that which happens;” from French event, from Latin eventus “occurrence, accident, event, fortune, fate, lot, issue,” from past participle stem of evenire “to come out, happen, result,”… ex- “out” + venire “to come” (see ‘vent’)
January events:
New Moon in Capricorn (1/18)
Neptune enters Aries (1/26)
Mars - Pluto conjunction (1/27)
This month, all of the quick planets pile into Aquarius moments before Neptune enters (and remains in) Aries on January 26th, the first time since 1861.
As each of the faster planets crosses over Pluto, a prominent minor grand trine forms, a geometric configuration that began in May of last year and has been consistently present in the months since. The formation initialized as angles between Saturn / Neptune, Uranus, and Pluto - slow planets, and persisted even during their retrograde phases.
Pluto has been picking up speed recently, finally moving out of the orb holding the trine together this month (my orb for trines is set to six degrees). The trine’s form is maintained, however, and then intensified by the quicker planets coming through and moving into aspects with Neptune / Saturn, and Uranus.
As the planets roll deeper into Aquarius, Mars - the slowest of the fastest planets — meets Pluto (1/27). Neptune will be at 0 Aries, and the Moon will be conjoined with Uranus in Taurus. Within hours of this Mars/Pluto conjunction’s completion, the minor grand trine that’s persisted for months, collapses (1/28) —
Hexagram
The application’s hexagram generation is experimental, and future adjustments might change results. That being said, I still study and share them out of intrigue - if any of the 64 hexagrams were displayed at any given time, I’m sure my mind would find some way of making connections.
The hexagrams switch between 49 Revolution, and 63 After Completion, as the Moon crosses in Aquarius, line 4 changes:
“The finest clothes turn to rags” in line 4 of hexagram 63.
Thanks for reading and be safe out there.
A-spectator:
The planets are the characters
The signs are their costumes
The houses are the stage
